Calbro Forte Injection

Injectable Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorous, Caffeine & Glucose supplementation

Indications
It is indicated for hypocalcaemia (low blood calcium) and hypomagnesaemia (low blood magnesium) – in cattle, sheep, pigs, and  horses.

It is also indicated for ketosis in cattle.

Composition

Each 100 ml contains:

Calcium Gluconate Monohydrated 40,0 g 
Magnesium, Glycerophosphate 1,0 g 
Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrated 3,0 g 
Anhydrous Glucose 5,0 g
Anhydrous Caffeine 0,4 g

Each 100 ml contains an equivalent of:
3,57 g Calcium
0,16 g Phosphorus
0,48 g Magnesium

Directions for use

Route of administration
Sub-cutaneous-, intra-peritoneal- or intravenous injection.

Dosage: 

Cattle & Horses: 60 - 100 ml
Calf and foal: 15 - 30 ml
Sheep: 10 - 20 ml
Pigs: 10 - 30 ml

In serious cases, the slow intra-venous route is recommended combined with subcutaneous route. This ensures a quick initial effect followed by a more sustained effect. It is recommended that the product be gently heated to body temperature before being administered intra-venously. When the injections are administered exclusively by subcutaneous route, the dose must be distributed in three or four sites. Intravenous injections must be administered slowly.
